In my 20's, I developed a small complex with my sparse eyebrows. As an Italian-American brunette, I guess I had a preconceived notion that I should have better eyebrows, even if that meant that they were unruly. When I started drawing them on about ten years ago, I felt like the only person. Other than seeing my grandmother do this to herself when I was a little girl with one of those old-school red Maybelline brown eyeliners, I'd never seen my peers doing this.

Then, a few years ago, there came the eyebrow obsession. Just like that, people were using pencils, creams, powders, and gels to get thick, beautiful eyebrows. Both drugstore and high-end companies started marketing products like crazy to help make brows more beautiful. I suddenly felt like I fit in. Instead of feeling weird about what I was doing, I felt ahead of the times.

The only problem is that I tend not to wear a lot of makeup (outside of my stage job), so I was really wanting something to make them look better on their own.

When the makers of RapidLash made a product specifically for eyebrows, I was thrilled. Of course, I had to give it a try! This is my experience.

Purchasing

You can purchase RapidBrow for about 39.99 at retailers such as Ulta, Walgreens, Walmart, Target, and online.

I bought this tube on eBay from a trusted seller for about $18.99, not expired, and it arrived fast. You can also purchase on Amazon as well.

The price can vary quite a bit based on where you buy this, especially online. So take your time, browse, and only purchase from retailers you trust. There are some good deals out there. Try to purchase it sealed and make sure it is within the expiration date if you buy from a site such as eBay or Amazon.

I purchased one tube from an eBay seller that had really good reviews. I paid about $16.00 (maybe the price was too cheap) and it arrived fast. However, when I opened it and applied it to my eyebrows, the smell and consistency were not right. The box was closed when I purchased it so nothing seems tampered with. I don't know if maybe it had been kept in the heat or something that spoiled it, but I asked for a refund and got one with no questions asked, promptly. However, I will be a little bit more wary next time. I have had one bad experience out of the three times that I have purchased it on eBay.

Packaging

Each tube comes sealed in plastic and in a box. When I bought mine on eBay, it was sealed and still in the original box. Sometimes it may not be in a box if you buy on a site such as eBay, but as long as it is sealed and within the expiration date, I would think that you're good.

The tube itself is pretty sleek. The cap twists off and attached to it is a brush, much like mascara.

Convenient wand brush applicator tames lashes while applying the treatment.

Application

You are supposed to apply this twice a day (morning and night) to clean, dry eyebrows free of makeup and creams, in short, upward strokes. The formula is clear and has no heavy scent. It also tames brows while it works.

The Verdict

I have been using this for about six weeks, twice a day (most days) and it really does work. Even after I tweezed my brows, my brows feel fuller, and I think even the individual hairs are longer. I will continue to use this, and I am excited to see if there is even more improvement over time. I will update in about six more weeks.

Update After Eight Weeks of Use

I have now been using this for over eight weeks and I am over the moon! I feel like my eyebrows are darker. I guess it's because they were so sparse. This is truly a wonderful product. It worked in just a month or so, and my results just got better with time. Now I am only using it for maintenance, so I am testing out using it once a day, every other day or so. No more eyebrow complex for this girl.

I took a picture of this latest result (excuse my dark circles) and posted it below. I may have to tweeze more regularly now, and I'm happy to report that my brows look kind of unruly!
